"I was asked in a recent interview whether I considered myself an artist. I struggled to answer the question. I have created my entire life, but it's never felt right to take on that label.
In part, it's because I find that something requires an audience to be determined as worthy of being considered art. Does the work speak to them? What unbidden emotion is invoked in their spirit?
I will leave you to be the judge. Is this art? Am I an artist?"
