Who Am I Writing For?
Clarity, and freedom from the tyranny of the masses.
When making a commitment to write, it's clear that one must know who they are writing for. I have struggled with landing the answer to that question.
In the past, when I have freely written, it has often felt like the only possible person who would appreciate the 'collection' of my writings is me.
That has always troubled me greatly.
A writer, as it so happens, often wants what they write to be read.
Even now, as I sift through the pile of drafts that weigh on me, I see everything from theories on the future of technology to scribbles about the esoteric nature of symbols.
However, when one is forced to make a commitment to write with a certain timeframe as a constraint and comes upon this problem, the answer forces itself out of the situation at hand.
I'm writing for people like me, whoever that might be, even if only the few eccentrics left in the world stumble upon it out of luck.
Clarity, and freedom from the tyranny of the masses, at last!
